San Francisco, CA – September 18, 2025 – Sigray, Inc., a leading innovator in advanced x-ray technology, today announced that it has prevailed in a jury trial against Carl Zeiss Microscopy GmbH (“ZEISS”) regarding patent claims asserted by ZEISS. The jury determined in favor of Sigray on key issues, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation and the strength of its technology portfolio.

Jury Findings

The jury concluded that, should damages apply, they would be limited to reasonable royalties only, rejecting claims for lost profits. The jury further found no trade secret misappropriation and no willful infringement, marking a decisive outcome in Sigray’s favor on critical allegations.

Parallel Ex Parte Proceedings

The case involved two patents asserted by ZEISS. In parallel, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has been conducting ex parte reexaminations on both patents. One has already been granted, while the second remains under review. If both result in cancellations, potential damages from the litigation could be eliminated entirely.
